Secret WhatsApp Features – 5 Useful WhatsApp Tricks And Hidden Features To Make Your Life Easier
You have probably been using WhatsApp for years, but there are almost certainly some features you don’t know about.
The Center had previously notified the high court that WhatsApp was treating Indian users differently than European users when it came to choosing not to participate in its new privacy policy. (File)
Some users have flocked to Signal and Telegram due to WhatsApp’s divisive privacy update, but the market leader is still the Facebook-owned messaging service. More than 2 billion people worldwide use WhatsApp, making it by far the most popular messaging service.
Even though many users have recently shifted to competing chat apps, experts believe this will significantly hurt WhatsApp’s overall popularity. The chat app is still the best way to send texts, send and receive photos, and even make video calls. We’ve discovered some of the lesser-known WhatsApp tips and tricks to help you make the most of the popular messaging app.
Hide the blue ticks
The blue ticks that appear next to messages are helpful because they let users know when messages have been received and read. Those blue ticks can cause issues if you don’t respond to someone right away. Turning off your read receipts is the solution. This is how you do it: Uncheck the “Read Receipts” box by going to Settings -> Account -> Privacy. There is a restriction, though. Remember that the feature will not turn off the group chat’s read receipts.
Disabling the Read Receipts hides the blue ticks from the WhatsApp chats.
Hide your profile picture
Sometimes you wish no one would see your profile photo, particularly if you belong to obnoxious family groups. The good news is that you can prevent people who don’t know you personally from seeing your profile picture on WhatsApp. Open WhatsApp and select Settings to do this. Click Privacy after selecting Account. Click on the Profile photo now. You have three choices: “Everyone,” “My Contacts,” and “Nobody.” Simply choose “My Contacts” if you want people whose phone numbers are saved in your contacts to be able to see your profile photo. Select “No One” if you don’t want anyone to see your profile picture.
You can easily hide your profile pic from users.
Reply to a group message privately
Did you know that group chats allow for the sending of private messages? WhatsApp lets you send private messages to members in group chats, meaning it is possible to reply to specific group members — keeping the conversation invisible to everyone else. All you have to do to read a message in a group chat on an iPhone is to press and hold it. Choose “… More,” then select “Reply Privately.” The menu on an Android smartphone will appear at the very top of the display. To access the “Reply Privately” option, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
Did you know you can send private messages in group chats?
Stop images and video appearing in your gallery
WhatsApp automatically downloads photos and videos on your phone’s gallery. Some users find it annoying as it consumers storage and data, but there is a way to stop WhatsApp from saving photos and videos on your phone. Open WhatsApp and then select Settings. Head to Media Auto-Download, where you will find three options: When Using Cellular Data, When Connected on Wi-Fi and When Roaming. Disable auto-downloads by unchecking all three options, Images, Audio and Video.
Stop WhatsApp auto-saving images and videos to your phone’s gallery.
How to block a WhatsApp contact
While WhatsApp makes it possible to communicate with friends and family, there are times when you feel you don’t want to. Thankfully, blocking a contact on WhatsApp is easy. To be clear, blocked contacts won’t be able to contact you by phone or message, and they won’t be able to see your status updates. WhatsApp will not notify the contacts you have blocked that you have done so if you choose to block them on the messaging app. You can unblock them at any time. Here how to do it:
1.) Open WhatsApp.
2.) Go to Settings>Specific chat>Tap on contact info at the top>Scroll down to the bottom > Block Contact.
The Default Drive Of The Computer – Why is The Default Drive of Your Computer “C” Instead of A or B?
The default drive of a computer is usually the primary hard drive or solid-state drive (SSD) installed in the computer. It is typically labelled as the “C:” drive in Windows operating systems. This drive is where the operating system, system files, and most software Programs are installed by default.
The default drive may vary depending on the computer manufacturer and configuration. Some computers may have multiple drives installed, with different drive letters assigned to each one. In addition to the primary drive, there may be secondary hard drives or SSDs, external hard drives, or network drives that can be used for additional storage.
When Should I Use The Default Drive Of The Computer?
You should use the default drive of your computer when installing the operating system or software programs, as these are typically set up to be installed on the primary hard drive or SSD by default.
In addition, you should use the default drive for storing system files and documents that you want to access quickly, as this drive is typically faster than other storage options, such as external hard drives or network drives.
However, it’s important to note that the default drive may not always be the best option for storing large files or data you don’t need to access frequently. You may consider using a secondary or external hard drive for additional storage space in these cases. It’s also a good idea to regularly back up your data to an external drive or cloud storage service to protect against data loss in case of hardware failure or other issues with your computer.
Ever Wondered Why “C” Is The Default Local Drive Of Your Computer Instead Of A Or B?
A time came when owning a computer was an expensive luxury few people could afford.
Today’s number of computer owners is significantly higher than the inventors had anticipated, but why not? It is currently the most significant machine. Anyone who claims that a computer is an indispensable component of a person today is not surprising, given the state of the tech world.
Even if you’ve been using a computer for a while, there are probably still a lot of things you don’t know. Here is a question for you if you frequently use the computer. Have you ever wondered why the first disk drives start from “C”?
Where have they gone to?
Answer to the question:
Since 1980, hard disk drives have become commonplace. Floppy disk drives were the storage devices of choice before hard disk drives. Initial storage devices were floppy disk drives. They have existed since the 1960s.
The two sizes of floppy disks were 5 1/4″ and 3 1/2″. They had the labels Local Disk (A) and Local Disk on their floppy disk drives (B). An 8-inch floppy disk was developed after the hard disk was created. Floppy disks have been replaced by Floppy disk drives, which also disappeared over time.
This is the rationale behind hard drive labelling. Drives other than the default drive (C) are therefore designated as D, E, etc. The labels for DVD drives and USB drives are F, G, and so forth. Although the “C” drive is the default, you can change it to A or B if you have administrative rights.
The PS5-Xbox Series generation finally seems to be getting off to a good start in 2023 as Unreal Engine 5 support grows after two years of false starts. The last-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft are losing more developer support. Starfield, Spider-Man 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Final Fantasy 16 are the only games designed specifically for new hardware, but owners of PS4, Xbox One, and particularly Switch have a lot to look forward to as well.
The game lineup for next year is undoubtedly the most exciting since the console guard changed in 2020, with dozens of games pushed back to 2023, a focus on new-gen hardware, and at least one major exclusive from each platform owner. We’ve taken that anticipation as we begin a brand-new year and create a list of the biggest video games of 2023, organized chronologically by release date. Only games with officially announced 2023 release dates or windows were considered for this list.
Games like Disney Dreamlight Valley and Baldur’s Gate 3 are also excluded, both of which are slated to exit Early Access in 2023. The Northern Hemisphere determines release windows for specific seasons (spring and fall).
Biggest Games of 2023

Alear can access their tools and skills when a previous hero is engaged.
Engage follows 2019’s excellent Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which earned a 9.5 from IGN.

Our Wo Long preview called the combat’s breakneck pace “fantastic,” distinguishing Wo Long from many other soul-like games.
Dual WhatsApp – 7 Easy Steps On How to Use Two WhatsApp Accounts On One Mobile Phone
Separate your work life from your personal life by setting up a dual WhatsApp account.
With over 2 billion monthly active users, WhatsApp is among the world’s most widely used instant messaging services. The Facebook-owned app has many features, some of which you might not even know. The app does, of course, have its limitations. The inability to support multiple WhatsApp accounts is a significant one. Officially, each device is only allowed to run one WhatsApp account.
You can run two versions of an app simultaneously, in this case, WhatsApp, thanks to a “Dual Apps” feature that some smartphone manufacturers offer. This guide will show you how to set up two WhatsApp accounts on a dual SIM phone.
How To Use Two WhatsApp Accounts on One Smartphone
The days of needing a second Android phone only for a backup WhatsApp account are long gone. If you have a dual-SIM smartphone from Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei, Samsung, OnePlus, or Realme, you can use the Dual Apps feature to set up a second WhatsApp account on your main phone.
Ensure the second SIM is turned on and connected to the Internet before configuring dual apps.
4. Select WhatsApp from the dual-app-supported apps.
5. Toggle Dual Apps and wait for the device to set up a WhatsApp dual app.
6. Go to the app launcher and open WhatsApp with the dual app icon.
7. Set up WhatsApp using your second number.
These procedures apply to Xiaomi devices. The feature’s name and instructions may change depending on the smartphone manufacturer. App Clone is the name of the feature on Oppo devices. As with Samsung devices, it’s Dual Messenger; for Asus, it’s Twin Apps; for Honor, it’s App Twin; and for Realme, it’s App Cloner. The Parallel Apps option is located in the Utilities Settings on OnePlus devices.
So, using this method, you can create two WhatsApp accounts on the same phone and clone your existing one. The app won’t let you set up WhatsApp with the same phone number because it goes against their rule of one account per number.
You can download Google Play Store apps to create multiple accounts if your smartphone does not support dual apps. Parallel Space is a well-liked choice with more than 100 million downloads. Additional illustrations include DO Multiple Accounts, Multi Space, etc.
How to Use Dual WhatsApp Account on One Smartphone via WhatsApp for Business Application
If your Android smartphone does not have an app cloning option, you can use this method to run two WhatsApp accounts simultaneously. We are indeed referring to the WhatsApp for Business apps. The app can be used with various mobile phone numbers and requires a separate installation. Here’s how you can do it:
Download and install WhatsApp for Business application on your Android or iOS device.
Agree to the terms and conditions and register yourself by entering your secondary number.
Create your business profile by adding a name, business category and choosing a profile picture.
Click on Explore button and go to the Business profile. From there, you can enter information about your company, including its address, description, operating hours, and more.
